Robert Pugach, M.D.

Dr. Pugach is the medical director of Western States HIFU and Pacific Coast Urology Medical Center. His west coast based urology practice was the first urology practice in the United States centered on minimally invasive treatments of urological conditions.  His practice continues to be at the forefront of new, innovative and advanced prostate cancer technologies like High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU).

Dr. Robert Pugach is not only the 3rd most experienced HIFU practitioner in the United States; he is also one of only a few certified HIFU teachers and proctors in the world.  As an early adopter of HIFU technology, Dr. Pugach has been performing and educating urologists about HIFU for more than 12 years


Dr. Pugach received a Bachelor of Science Degree from New York University.   Upon completing his medical studies at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, he went to New York University-Booth Memorial Medical Center where he completed a general surgery residency.  Dr. Pugach then had his urology training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center in New York.
